About
Practical education for fund-accounting professionals
The Fund Accountant is an independent professional-education brand focused on practical fund-accounting learning. Its courses and assessments are designed to help learners connect accounting concepts with the review decisions, investigations and explanations expected in real fund-accounting work.
The teaching principle
Do the decision. Then understand the rule.
A definition is useful only when you can recognise it in a live set of books. Lessons are structured around evidence, calculation, control and explanation.
Specific
Use real accounting events and internally consistent figures.
Transparent
Show what a learner will practise before asking them to enrol.
Responsible
Do not invent outcomes, support or proof that has not been confirmed.
Practical
Teach how an answer is checked, documented and escalated.

Academic instruction
Learn with Bonhi Mukhopadhyaya
Lead Instructor – Fund Accounting
Bonhi Mukhopadhyaya is the Lead Instructor for fund accounting at The Fund Accountant. She brings 14+ years of fund-accounting experience to teaching professionals who want to develop stronger practical understanding, review judgment and confidence.
Her teaching is built around how fund-accounting work is actually approached: understanding NAV movements, investigating cash and position breaks, connecting transactions with accounting entries, considering corporate actions and accruals, and communicating conclusions clearly.
Rather than asking learners only to memorise definitions, Bonhi uses practical explanations and scenario-led learning to help them understand what to calculate, what to question, what to document and when an issue may need further investigation or escalation.
At The Fund Accountant, her role covers course instruction, curriculum input and subject-matter contribution to learning content.
Our content standards
Practical, clearly scoped and responsibly reviewed
The Fund Accountant develops educational content to help learners understand fund-accounting concepts, workflows and review decisions through practical explanations and scenario-led learning.
Our courses, assessments and resources are created for defined learning objectives. Calculations, worked examples and technical explanations are checked for internal consistency before they are approved for publication. Where a named reviewer and review date are displayed, that content has completed the corresponding review process.
Examples are created for education and do not contain confidential employer, client, fund or investor information. Simplified scenarios may be used to explain a concept clearly, and important assumptions or limitations should be stated alongside the example.
Fund-accounting practices can vary between funds, jurisdictions, accounting policies, administrators and employers. Our content supports professional learning but does not replace an organisation’s procedures, independent professional judgment or legal, tax, accounting or investment advice.
We review published content when a material technical issue is identified, relevant practices change or credible learner feedback shows that clarification is required. Corrections should be made transparently without presenting outdated material as current.
